Popular finishes include nickel, light gold, gunmetal, black, antique brass and rose gold. Brushed, polished, sandblasted and PVD effects may also be used for different product lines.

Use a color card or approved sample

Photos on screens can be misleading. A physical color card or approved production sample gives the buyer and factory a shared standard.

Understand normal tolerance

Electroplating can have normal batch variation. The important point is to agree on an acceptable range and inspect goods against the approved standard.

Match the full hardware set

For a bag collection, buckles, rings, hooks, locks, zipper pullers and logo plates should be checked together so the final product looks consistent.
